Please note: Your BMT warranty covers products that have a manufacturer’s defect.

Software installations, configurations and/or associated data are not covered.  We strongly recommend regular backups!

1.     Complete computer packages, specifically the system CPU, motherboard, case, memory, hard drives, floppy drives, CD-ROM drives, sound cards, video cards, and cooling fans, monitor, keyboard and mouse are warranted against manufacturer’s defect for a period of 2 years from date of receipt. For SPECIAL ORDER products please refer to Section #5.  Monitors and hard drives may be supported by the manufacturer for an additional year. Check with BMT for clarification.

2.     Gold plan member’s preventative maintenance warranty extends the above coverage (see item #1) to five (5) years parts and labour.

3.     All new retail BMT components and peripherals include a one-year parts and labour warranty.  OEM products are covered for 30 days.

4.     Warranty coverage extends to each component and is not voided by third party intervention, however, abuse, misuse or obvious physical damage is not covered under warranty and will not be accepted for return or replacement.  Components not installed by BMT will only be accepted for return/refund once the components distributor has issued an RMA (Return Manufactures)

5.     Any defective product(s) purchased within fifteen (15) days will be replaced by BMT.  After fifteen (15) days, BMT will at its discretion, replace or repair the product.  In the event that a component is discontinued or no longer available within a reasonable amount of time, BMT may elect to offer the client the option of a pro-rated credit against an alternate upgrade replacement product based on the balance of outstanding warranty.

6.     Software is not warranted by BMT in any way.  BMT is not responsible for data integrity, compatibility, integration and backup.  BMT may at the client’s request, install software, but BMT does not warrant that any software will or will not perform any specific task(s).  These represented features are made solely by the manufacturer to which any such issue should be specifically addressed.

7.     All BMT warranties are depot warranties, (return to our Service Counter).  On-site service and bank-of-hours packages may be purchased separately.  Any applicable shipping charges are not covered by our warranty.

8.     Virus damage is not covered.

9.     Whenever possible and strictly as a courtesy, BMT will provide a loaner, however, BMT cannot guaranty availability or suitability.

10.   Abuse, misuse, physical damage, normal wear-and-tear or products that fail due to poor maintenance are not covered by your BMT warranty.

11.   On-site service, delivery and all associated charges are not included under warranty.

BMT Return Policy

General Returns

1.        Returns must include all original packaging and sales invoices.

2.        Imperfect or incomplete products will not be accepted. Pls note: Items with defaced documentation will not be accepted for return.

3.        All non-warranty refunds or credit requests will be subject to a 20% restocking charge.

4.        After 15 days from purchase, BMT at its sole discretion will repair or replace warranted products.

5.        All BMT component product warranties represent the manufacturer’s specific warranty against manufactured defects. 

6.        While BMT will facilitate the return and repair/replacement of all defective products as per the manufacturer’s warranty, the applicable shipping charges are solely the client’s responsibility.

7.        If a replacement is not available due to supplier insolvency or discontinuation, BMT will replace it with one of equal or better value.

8.        While subject to a 20% restocking fee, special (non-stock) orders can only be returned with the manufacturer’s consent.  Said approval may take up to 60 days.  Please note: Despite our best efforts, BMT may not be able to contest a manufacturer’s right to withhold this consent.

 

Software Returns

1.        Sealed software may be returned within 7 days, opened software cannot be returned under any circumstances. 

2.        System and software compatibility is solely the purchaser’s responsibility. 

3.        Defective software is the responsibility of the manufacturer.  Many manufacturers provide satisfaction warranties.  It is the purchaser’s responsibility to contact each software vendor as required.

 

PLEASE NOTE: It is a criminal offence to issue a NSF cheque. NSF cheques must be replaced immediately and are subject to a $25.00 administration fee.
